About Me:

I was always making something. I was a Lego kid. I started playing piano at 6 years old and at 11 I transitioned to guitar. In middle school I taught myself HTML code and made a couple of my own websites. None of them were impressive, but it was fun doing it!

I’ve also always LOVED animation. As a 7th grader I found a website that let me animate on the computer. I made goofy short stories about an angry penguin, or the adventures of “Chuck”, a square with legs, and a party hat. Creating was fun! Simple as that.

Then I started making videos…

When I was in middle school, my friend got a Flip Cam for Christmas. It’s funny how a middle schooler in front of a camera feels empowered to do so many wacky things. Of course, after we filmed our shenanigans, I would splice it together in Windows Movie Maker and publish it to YouTube. I’m sure somewhere on the internet one or two of those horribly embarrassing videos still exist.

I had so much fun making videos, animations and websites that I never thought it could turn into a job. I just figured that a job couldn’t be that fun. Well, luckily for me, I was wrong.

After graduating high school, I started an internship at Heritage Church. That year Heritage was one of the 100 fastest growing churches in America (we were also on the list in 2015)!  It was a great opportunity for me to hone my craft. I spent 6 months learning not only video, but also design, web, and growing musically. It gave me the opportunity to do everything  that I already loved doing! They offered me a job at the end of my internship.

The time I spent on staff at Heritage was extremely beneficial. I was allowed to take risks and try new techniques to keep growing. I had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects, from 3D video mapping, to directing several TV commercials. I was given opportunities that many in their early twenties don’t get.

From there I went on to intern at Quicken Loans, where I am now. Every week I have experience explosive growth. I have been given opportunities to join in on projects that I never dreamed of ever doing, like a stop-motion animation for the opening of the Children’s Tumor Foundation Benefit!

At the end of the day. It’s not that complicated. I do what I do because I enjoy it. Learning is fun. Creating something new is fun. Life is just fun.
